Plains is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Plains is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I took myself out for breakfast, I scrolled menus and I found that they had biscuits and sausage gravy with eggs. My plate came and I tasted my food, it was just lukewarm and I like it hot. My server came by and asked how everything was. I said it is cold to me, she said they could remake it no trouble at all. First I asked if they could heat it up. Most restaurants won't do that, she said they could do that or she could just get a new order. Kudos to that server, very nice and when it came out she came back and asked if it was OK. I forgot to mention, that sausage gravy was absolutely delicious. I enjoyed that breakfast. Thank you

Scratch Kitchen is proof that great food will always bring people through the door. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this restaurant focuses on what matters mostβ€”serving incredible food made with care and quality ingredients. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side and could use some updating, but honestly, none of that mattered once the food arrived. Every dish was packed with flavor, cooked perfectly, and presented beautifully. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they do, and that passion comes through in every bite. What makes Scratch Kitchen special is that it doesn't rely on flashy dΓ©cor or trendy gimmicks. Instead, it lets the food speak for itself. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and comfortable, creating a delightful dining experience that felt genuine and unpretentious. It's refreshing to find a place that understands that exceptional food is the real star of the show. The old saying is true: when you serve amazing food, people will come no matter what the building looks like. Scratch Kitchen is a perfect example of that. I would happily return again and again, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal and outstandin

Great place for breakfast and lunch. The eight of us were looking for a better option and this was definitely it. Portions were huge and tasty. Lots of options and you can mix and match items, let alone make modifications to their standards. Service was outstanding as well. You can tell from the Scratch in their name that the food may take a bit to show up, but it was worth the wait.
